For the fourth time in a row, OE-A will be representing the printed electronics industry at CES – one of the world’s largest trade shows for consumer technology. Held annually in Las Vegas, NV, USA, it attracts 170K+ attendees from 160 countries, showcases more than 4,500 exhibiting companies and presents more than 250 conference sessions.
The future of consumer electronics includes printed and flexible technologies
Numerous industries, from automotive, consumer electronics and household appliances to packaging and healthcare, have products based on organic and printed electronics. Consumer electronics is currently the largest industry in which this technology is being applied. This technology can be found in e-readers, smartphones and tablets, and it is used to turn clothing and accessories into intelligent wearables, as well as making the operation of automobiles and many devices more intuitive and thus easier through the use of touch sensors. The adoption of flexible and printed electronics is being driven by numerous benefits – ranging from low-cost and robust to lightweight, flexible and thin.
On January 6-10, 2020 OE-A is the organization that introduces the innovative technology of organic and printed electronics at this international event. This novel technology will have a major influence on the consumer technology industry, especially in the areas of the Internet of Things, wearables and automotive. Special focus will be given to the integration of this innovative technology into consumer electronics. This growing market helps to bring more end-users to the printed electronics network, which will prompt closer collaboration between the product industry and the technology developers. This cooperation will eventually lead to the optimization of existing products as well as to the development of new ones.
OE-A pavilion and conference track to represent the organic and printed electronics industry
In order to introduce more end-users to its network as well as to share the advantages of the integration of printed electronics in consumer products, OE-A exhibits at its own joint pavilion – together with 15 OE-A members – to showcase their technologies and applications. Visit the OE-A joint pavilion at Tech West, Sands Expo, Level 2, Halls A-D, Booth #40950.
Furthermore, within the 1,000+ speakers CES conference, OE-A will organize a conference printed electronics track on Monday, January 6 from 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM. Human-centric electronics must be equipped with thin, lightweight and flexible features. Printed electronics incorporates all of these, allowing production of smart devices without compromising design. OE-A and its members will present highlights of what is possible in major fields of application, including mobility, digital health and IoT.
OE-A’s conference track “Printed Electronics: Flexible, Lightweight, Smart” consists out of the sessions “Printed Electronics: Trends and Market Applications”, “Products for Digital Health in Smart Cities” and “Products for the Future of Mobility”. Confirmed speakers include, among others, Jaguar Land Rover, IBM Research and Continental Automotive.
