The demo combines pressure and temperature mapping using one single readout electronics, including sensor foils, readout electronics to gather and process the captured data, and software for live visualization, storage and analysis of the data.
A pressure-sensing array and a temperature-sensing array are placed on top of each other to precisely map these parameters at the same place. Pressure sensor arrays are based on piezoresistive pressure sensors printed on a roll-to-roll printed machine. Temperature sensor arrays are based on thermistors. The system has been optimized such that the read-out electronics can collect and interpret the data from the two different matrices simultaneously.
