The integrated Lohmann skin patch platform design based on printed electronics ensures the evaluation of various, even long-wear applications and an easy industrial upscaling by using high performance materials.
Lohmann and PalmSens joint forces to provide a newly designed flexible patch, electronics and a software platform launched in summer 2024. The system supports researchers & developers from industry and universities to quickly access electrochemical body data, significantly accelerating the development of new wearable technologies and increasing the understanding of electrochemistry for promising vital sign monitoring applications.
Functionality
- After receiving the Sensit Wearable development box the user can instantly start with the first measurement.
- The skin patch will be applied on a specific body position (depending on the intended application) – guidance is provided. Using Lohmann DuploMED® medical and functional skin tapes in this patch allows already a wear time of up 7 days (adapted designs even 15 days) including high signal quality by using newest electrode technology.
- The Sensit Wearable reader will then be attached to the skin patch by a simple twist.
- The PalmSens Software connects wirelessly and can run on a computer or mobile device. It will allow instant live data tracking or scheduled recordings and deeper electrochemical data analysis.
