OE-A Member Area

my.OE-A – the exclusive members’ area of the OE-A – is now available again in a new edition. OE-A members will get access to all valuable contents and downloads.

What is new?
The information and document database is now based on MS TEAMS. Using MS Teams gives the opportunity to implement new collaboration possibilities.

To ensure legally compliant processing of personal data in accordance with the GDPR, VDMA/OE-A decided to use Microsoft services to handle access to its member area(s).

Your Microsoft account is a combination of your email address (=username) and the password you use to log in to services such as OneDrive, Outlook or MS TEAMS. If you use any of these services in your company, you already have a Microsoft account.

To log in my.VDMA, you usually use the same login data that you use for your existing company Microsoft account. However, the username of your Microsoft account may be different from your company email, e.g. it may consist of a combination of your staff number and company domain (1234@JaneDoe.com).

For more information on your Microsoft Account login please see the next question “How to get your username for the Office 365 account?”

If you have forgotten your Microsoft account username (email address) or have signed in and received the error message “The Microsoft account does not exist”, please follow the steps below in this order to find your username:

  • Windows 10 (PC or laptop)
Select Start > Settings > Accounts. Under Email and App Accounts, the usernames associated with your device are displayed.
  • Office apps
Microsoft 365 or Office 2016 or newer: Open an Office app, such as Word or Excel. Select File > Account. You can find your userename/e-mail-address under the product information
  • If you already have a myVDMA account
Please write an e-mail to daria.knoth@oe-a.org and we will create a Microsoft Office account for you at the VDMA cloud. Please note, that this may take some processing time. You will receive a notification by e-mail with your access data as soon as the account is created.

    Example of your username: Jane.Doe_company.com@vdma.cloud
The password is an initial password which should be changed with your first login.
  • If you do not have a my.VDMA account, yet:
Please go briefly through our registration process at https://vdma.org/registration to create an account.

Since the GDPR, stricter conditions and obligations for the processing of personal data came into force. To ensure legally compliant processing of your personal data, VDMA/OE-A decided to use the Microsoft services to handle access to its member areas.  Hence, VDMA/OE-A chose a system that complies with the current security guidelines and legal requirements.

In addition, using Microsoft Teams gives the opportunity to implement new collaboration possibilities.

Your registration is checked in your company network via a service from Microsoft. The VDMA/OE-A has no access to this and thus no access to your data.
